This is the Wednesday August 8th, 2012 edition of “All Things Fantasy”. David Kerr (@askROTObaseball) joined me to talk all things fantasy baseball. Also, I give my top 12 players for PPR drafts.
My top 12 rankings for a PPR draft. make sure to listen to the show to know why some of my rankings are different and to get the reason why I ranked each player where I did.
1. Arian Foster
2. Ray Rice
3. Lesean Mccoy
4. Calvin Johnson- By far and away the best WR in the NFL. Most likely to repeat his numbers from last year.
5. Ryan Mathews- could be inline for a huge year, will catches some passes prob close to 50 and will be the goal line back. He could be just as good as the RBs infront of him.
6. Aaron Rodgers-
7. Drew Brees– all 3 of these guys are in the same class, If you don’t believe me then look at last years stats. Brees finished with just 5 points less than Aaron Rodgers last year.
8. Chris Johnson- Will definitely have a bounce back year and is a safe bet to be a reliable RB. His days of rushing for 2K might be over but hes still one of the best RB in the league.
9. Tom Brady- Brady could be the best year with a much improved WR core and no Ben Jarvis.
10. Darren McFadden- when healthy, he has the ability to be a great RB, but his health has hurt his value.
11. Fred Jackson- This guy was awesome last year before he got hurt, he catches passes and will be a big part of the Bills Offense
12. Larry Fitzgerald- IF he had a better QB then he would be fighting with Megatron for #1 status among WR, but hopefully he will have John Skelton.
Jordy Nelson- Was 2nd in the fantasy points among WRs last year and has arguably the best QB in the NFL. He wont get double covered, word out of training camp is that he is playing better this year in camp than last year. Best part is he is dropping to the 3rd round in most fantasy drafts.
