“All Things Fantasy” (9-10-12)

This is the Monday September 10th, 2012 edition of  “All Things Fantasy”. Jeff Erickson, the Senior Editor of Rotowire.com and Host of Rotowire Fantasy Sports Today on Sirius/XM satellite radio, joined me to talk fantasy football and fantasy baseball. Also, I give some player pickups and some players you should or shouldn’t panic over. Here are my notes from the show.

“All Things Fantasy”

Larry Fitzgerald Panic-Panic-4 rec. 63 yards- Kolb is a terrible QB and it will be hard for Fitz to put big numbers consistently

Wes Welker- PANIC!!!!- Julian Edelman subbed in the game for him often, had only 3 catches for 14 yards.

Jordy Nelson/ Greg Jennings- Don’t Panic- combined for almost 100 yards. They played a tough Defense, Both will end up with solid numbers.

Michael Vick- PANIC 317 Passing yards, 2 TDs, 4 INTs, 32 Rushing Yards.

Michael Turner- Panic – 11 carries for 32 Rushing Yards. I would be trying to trade immediately if I owned him. The Falcons are becoming a Pass First offense and Turner is going to struggle the whole season. Will be very frustrating to own

Willis Mcgahee, Don’t Panic- 16 carries for 64 yards- 1 fum lost. Still Solid, just faced a tough defense

Jason Witten, Don’t Panic- 1 catch 10 yards. Just coming back from injury

Eli Manning- Don’t Panic- 213 Yards, 1 TD. He will be his solid self, just a bad game.

Jamaal Charles- 87 yards- Faced a tough run defense. Will still be a solid fantasy contributor throughout the season.

Pickups-

Stephen Hill Jets, WR- 5 catches for 89 yards and 2 TDs. Looks like he will be the Jets big time play maker. Should be owned in most leagues but want to see him produce again before I would put him in my starting lineup.

Donald Jones, WR,BUF- He had a solid game with 5 catches for41 yards and 1 TD

Coby Fleener TE, Colts (49%)- 6 catches 82 yards. Went to college at Standford and played with Luck so he already has a repertoire with him. Could be a solid TE throughout the season

Knowshon Moreno RB, DEN- 5 carries, 13 yards, 1 TD. Insurance for Willis McGahee or pick him up if your looking for a player that could be a solid contributor later in the season.

Dexter McCluster RB, WR (13%)- 6 catches 82 yards. I like Dexter a lot especially for PPR leagues. His production will mirror what he did he in his first game, but will randomly score a TD here and there.

Cecil Shorts Jags, WR  – (0%) had a great week 4 catches for 74 yards and 1 TD, if he has another solid game then he will be a great pickup next week.

Aldrick Robinson- Could produce if Garcon can’t go
